Individuals 18+ interested in learning more about cattle showmanship are encouraged to apply. You’ll be given several months to prepare to show cattle at the Washington County Fair Summer 2020. You’ll spend the time learning about showmanship, grooming, and animal care. Contact us soon as space is limited.
Meet Ricky, one of 21 Roots’ founding volunteers. By learning skills such as tending the crops, caring for our animals, he and other participants have become integral members of both our farm and the community. Know someone who would enjoy being on the farm?
We have a variety of ways to get your hands dirty on the farm. Different programs work better for different folks, so feel free to take a look at what we offer and reach out if you have any questions.
We could use some extra hands
We have a need for volunteers to help with various farm maintenance tasks, such as power washing, painting fences, and fence repair. Volunteers may be teamed up with a farmer who may work with them depending on the tasks.
We also have opportunities for volunteers to work directly with the farmers with various farming and related tasks.
